Vogue India speaks about Bodements' Upcyling. 26th November 2019

"Divya Saini and Martin Letellier-Merida are mainly in the business of sourcing vintage clothing from Europe. They were experimenting with a line of clothing made out of vintage saris for the European markets when actor Swara Bhaskerapproached Saini with a special request—to convert her late grandmother’s sari into something more wearable. Saini crafted a sharp pantsuit that complemented Bhaskar’s body type and personality, but most importantly honoured her grandmother’s memory. The experiment turned into a much-lauded success. Bodements believes that our saris need to leave the depths of our closets and be worn more often. To serve that interest, they work with precious heirloom pieces and transform them into suits, jackets, dresses and skirts that stand out for their superior tailoring. Apart from tackling the problem of waste, their pieces give second life to works of art, and serve as a way to carry forward family heritage."
